Volleyball
Our volleyball program is open to any girls in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. All skill levels are welcome and we practice every day after school to help both the experienced and unexperienced player get better on the court. As a team, we play six games over six weeks. Our student athletes are held to high standards and students will be held accountable for their grades and behavior. Boys (and girls) are welcome to be managers who help during practices and set up equipment when needed. All coaches love to help our ladies get better as players and teammates.
Basketball
Boys basketball at Timberline is open to all 6, 7, and 8th grade male student-athletes. Students are held to a high standard on and off the court and have built a thriving basketball program at Timberline. Traveling teams play against other middle schools in the district. Boys basketball starts in early October and continues through mid November.
Girls basketball at Timberline is open to all 6, 7, and 8th grade female student-athletes. Students are held to a high standard on and off the court and have built a thriving basketball program at Timberline. Traveling teams play against other middle schools in the district. Girls basketball starts in late November and continues through mid January.
Soccer
The Timberline Soccer Club is run in partnership with the city of Longmont. The team is co-ed and is for 6th & 8th grade boys and girls. The team practices in the Clark Centennial City Park behind the school from 3:45-5:00 on select weekdays during the soccer season. We have two seasons, one in the fall and one in the spring. Games are played at different locations around the city with tournaments at Sand Stone Ranch Athletic Facility. Information about the program is available on the City of Longmont Athletic website as well as from Timberline prior to the start of each season.
Track and Field
During track season the students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of running and field events. Track is open to all middle school boys and girls 6th -8th grades. Students are encouraged to try a variety of events in order to see what fits their style and talent. Track is also a wonderful opportunity for students to get in good condition and prepare for high school athletics.
Unified Basketball
There is much excitement as Timberline gets ready to compete in their second season in the St. Vrain Valley School’s Middle School Unified Basketball League. Unified sports is a collaborative approach to creating opportunities for students with and without disabilities to participate in after school sports activities such as basketball, soccer, and bowling. Dates and times for our practices and games is released each spring prior to the season.
Wrestling
Wrestling is open to girls and boys from 5th – 8th grades. All our student athletes wear the green and navy blue with pride. They display the components of hard work, perseverance, self-discipline, and high levels of effort. Expectations for wrestlers are to attend practice every day and to make sure their grades are in good standing to participate. The wrestling season runs typically 6-8 weeks and goes from 3:30-5:00 pm daily practices, with dual meet times shared once the new district middle school wrestling schedule is shared. GO TIMBERLINE AND GO WOLVES!!
