Dear Timberline Families,

February is Kindness Month, and we are excited to celebrate the power of small acts that make a big difference! Throughout the month, students will participate in activities that promote empathy, gratitude, and respect, reinforcing the importance of building a caring school community. We encourage families to continue these conversations at home—kindness starts with all of us!

Additionally, if you were unable to attend Family-Teacher Conferences, it’s not too late! We value strong partnerships with our families and want to ensure every student receives the support they need. Please reach out to your child’s teacher or call the main office at 303-772-7900 to schedule a time to connect.

PIE Session

Healthy Relationships, hosted by Damary Yanes with Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence (SPAN), is tomorrow Tuesday, February 11th, from 5:15–7:30 p.m. at Timberline PK-8. As usual, dinner will be served from 5:15–6:00 p.m., followed by parent sessions from 6:00–7:30 p.m. Childcare will be provided. We hope to see you there! Comment end  

Kindness Challenge

Our students at Timberline are demonstrating kindness all month! If your student would like to participate in the February Kindness Challenge, sign off each day they complete one of the challenge activities in the calendar. Students can turn in the calendar at the end of the month to earn a prize!

Preschool Open House

Please join us to learn more about preschool for the 25-26 school year! Thursday, February 13th from 5-6pm.

Kindergarten Family Literacy Nights

English: February 19th, 2025 @ 5:30-7:00 pm

Spanish: February 25th, 2025 @ 5:15-7:30 (during PIE)

Topics include:

* Understanding your important role within the Colorado READ Act 

* Myths and Facts about literacy development; including how to leverage speaking in the home to promote reading

* Using district digital tools to enhance literacy at home

St Vrain’s Parent University Program

St. Vrain’s Parent University program provides training, information, and resources to parents and caregivers to support the well-being and success of their children.

Join us on Zoom, Feb. 20 from 5-6:30 p.m.

  • Adolescent RISE with Nicholas Thompson, Licensed Clinical Social WorkerUpcoming Parent University Session, February 20

Adolescent RISE is a presentation that takes a fun and informative look at the developmental period of adolescence (ages 10-25). It includes debunking myths about adolescence, understanding the four qualities of adolescence (risk taking, identity formation, social reorientation, and emotional intensity), and learning about the tweenage brain. With this foundation established, ways to better support our kids will be discussed.
