100-Mile Club
We are excited to announce the kickoff for this year’s 100-Mile Club. Register your children so that they get good exercise, spend time with friends on a team and earn some awards along the way.
This year’s club is open to third, fourth and fifth graders. If a third, fourth or fifth grade student who signs up has a first or second grade sibling who wishes to be a part of the club, they may sign up.
This year there will be 2 running seasons, one in the fall and one in the spring. The fall season will have 28 practices beginning on Monday September 11 and ending on Friday October 20. The spring season will have 26 practices beginning on Monday, March 25 and ending on Tuesday, April 30.
We will run from 7:00 – 8:00 am on the track next to the middle school except when it is below 20 degrees or when it is raining. On those few days, we will use the middle school gym. Take your children straight to the track and join us or leave them there.
You can sign up and pay fees here. If you have any questions about the club, please email Coach Kenyon at [email protected].
Timberline Girls Volleyball
The Lady Wolves Volleyball Team have their next game tomorrow, Wednesday September 6th, at Flagstaff Academy!
There will be no practice Thursday, September 21st.
Want to support the Timberline Volleyball Team and look stylish doing it? Purchase spirit wear, and part of the proceeds go to the team for new equipment! All orders have to be submitted by Sunday, September 10th.

GT Referral
Each year, schools in St. Vrain Valley School District complete a process to identify students who demonstrate exceptional ability or performance in one or more academic areas and may, therefore, qualify for Gifted/Talented educational services. These students usually perform at least two years above grade level in their strength area(s), and they require additional academic challenges in order to support their continued educational growth and progress. In addition, they usually demonstrate characteristics of unique creativity and high motivation in their strength areas.
Referrals are open through the month of September and will close on the last day of the month.

Family Calendar
This year we will be sharing a monthly family calendar with important Timberline events. Please check your child’s Thursday Folder for a printed copy to hang on your refrigerator. Check it out to see what is happening this month!
Speaking of family, we would love to have you join our PTO! There are lots of opportunities to participate at school, home and in the community throughout the year. We thrive when we work together. Please complete the attached form at your earliest convenience.
CAFECITO

Enjoy a cup of coffee and meet our new Principal, Audrey Seybold.
Also, meet our Counselors and Attendance staff.
We are looking forward to seeing you.
iPad Insurance – Purchase Window Closing Soon!
Families, it is crucial that students have insurance for their school-issued iPad. Insurance can cover 100% of the cost of lost or damaged iPads. Without iPad insurance, the cost for replacement or repair can exceed $400. Please click this link below for more information.
PAWS
At Timberline, we use our PAWS!
Positive Attitude
Act Responsibly
Work Hard
Show Respect
During the month of August, our staff and students focus on all the PAWS and how we use them in all areas of our school. We ask, “what does it look like and sound like to use our PAWS in the classroom, hallways, lunchroom, playground, etc.?” Talking with your student about how they use their PAWS at home strengthens the connection between home and school.
School Arrival and Dismissal
Breakfast starts at 8:10 AM at Timberline, and this is the time doors open. There is no supervision prior to 8:10 so please make sure that students are dropped off no earlier than 8:10am. If students arrive after the tardy bell rings at 8:25am, they must enter through the main entrance as all outside doors are locked at that time.
School dismisses at 3:30pm and students will be dismissed from the same door they enter in the morning. Staff remains on duty until 3:40pm. Students remaining after 3:40pm will be escorted to the front office so they have an adult with them. Please make every effort to pick up your child on time. We understand that sometimes things happen and a parent is late to pick up their child. In these cases, please let our front office know.
Family Drop Off/Pick Up Loop
Timberline provides a drop off and pick up loops for the convenience of our families. The rear loop is located south of the school building. Parents can easily and conveniently enter and exit following the traffic loop with quick and safe curbside drop off and pick up. This entrance is off Lashley street between the school and park. Parents may also drop off their students in the two front traffic loops. Please make sure that your students use proper crosswalks. We must not have students entering traffic lanes to get into cars or to exit cars to get into school. We have several staff supervising and monitoring the parking lots for everyone’s safety. Cars need to stay in the designated traffic areas or use designated parking places. Please also make sure to stay clear of our bus lanes along the curb just west of the main doors. The safety of our students, families, and staff is a priority.
Attendance
At Timberline, we support student attendance in many positive ways. Why? Because staff and students both miss out when students are absent. One criteria of a student’s success in school is regular and punctual attendance. We want to support excellent attendance for our Wolf families in any way we can. Please reach out to your child’s teacher if you are in need of support with attendance.
Students are considered tardy if they arrive at school after 8:25am or if they arrive after the start time of each period at the middle school level. Students who come in after class has started are at a disadvantage both academically and socially. It is a challenge to catch up after the teacher has introduced the learning for the day. We ask for your support in ensuring your students arrive to school on time.
September is Attendance Awareness Month
Did you know that children can fall behind academically if they miss 10% of school days? We want all students at school every day. Being in school supports students’ social, emotional and physical well-being, and provides students with opportunities to learn, achieve and to reach for their dreams.
Reporting Student Absences
Please notify the school office in the morning if your child will be absent. The school needs to know that your child is with you and safe. If we are unable to contact you, we must consider the absence unexcused. You can report an absence to our office by phone at 303-772-7900 or by email to [email protected]
Cell Free Zone
In order to support a vibrant learning environment, Timberline is a cell phone free zone between 8:20am and 3:30pm, including before and after school activities. Families ALWAYS have access to their students, and students ALWAYS have access to their families through our office phones. Please contact our office at 303-772-7900 and we will be happy to connect you with your child.
Birthdays
We love celebrating birthdays at Timberline. Birthdays are announced each day in our morning message and teachers celebrate in a variety of ways in their classrooms. To support wellness, and also to meet the diverse dietary needs of our students, we ask that you provide small and simple birthday treats for your child’s class (ex. Cookies or mini-cupcakes).
Code of Conduct – Parent Action Required
Thank you for your partnership and supporting the academic growth, safety, and well-being of our students. Each year the District publishes a manual for students and families entitled, “Behavioral code of conduct and Board of Education Policies, Rights and Responsibilities of Students and Parents”. It is important that families review this information every year and acknowledge their receipt and understanding of this document.
To this end, please click here to access an electronic version of the revised Code of Conduct for the 2023-2024 school year. After you have reviewed this information, all families must sign an electronic acknowledgement that they have received, read, and understand the information contained, including the Annual Notification to Parents/Guardians; Behavioral Code of Conduct; Rights and Responsibilities of Students and Parents; and Board of Education Policies book.
To sign your electronic acknowledgement, please follow the steps described here. Thank you for your continued partnership and support. If you have any questions, please feel free to Timberline.
