Dear Wolfpack Families,
This week, we are wrapping up our girls’ basketball season and beginning the wrestling season. Many of our students with a first language other than English are also beginning their ACCESS assessments this week. The ACCESS assessment gives us important information about our students’ proficiency in English so we can ensure they have every opportunity for success. The Listening, Reading and Writing assessments will be this week, and we will move onto the Speaking assessment next week. Over 300 students at Timberline have a first language other than English, and that’s something we are very proud of at our school!

Grade Level Newsletters
Each month, teachers will create a grade level newsletter with important information for the month. Teachers will send these directly to families, but we will also link the newsletters in the Howl for you.

Cold Weather is Here
Winter weather is here! Students should come to school properly dressed for the weather. We will be going outside during the school day at lunch recess when the temperature is at or above 20 degrees Fahrenheit. As the temperatures get colder, students are encouraged to have the following items: winter hat for outside, gloves/mittens, and warm and dry shoes. Please make sure that your child has the right clothing for them to feel comfortable both inside and outside of the building.
26-27 Preschool Registration
Registration for St. Vrain Valley Schools’ 2026-27 preschool programs begin Dec. 9, 2025. Families can choose from high-quality, five-day programs, including half-day and select full-day options at schools across St. Vrain. The Colorado Universal Preschool (UPK) application is included in St. Vrain’s form, and families are encouraged to apply early for the best chance of placement at their preferred school.

Celebrate Excellence! Nominate an Educator of the Year
Nominations open: January 12 – February 1

Eligibility: Nominees must be licensed educators in Colorado, employed at an SVVSD school this year, and not have received their school’s Educator of the Year award in the past two years.

Mini Raptor’s Dance Clinic
Silver Creek Dance Team is hosting a Mini Raptors Clinic on Feb 17th at Silver Creek. See the flyer attached! They offer reduced prices for students who qualify for Free and Reduced lunches. Athletes will receive a t-shirt, bow and learn choreography to perform at a basketball game!
